Home education (or home schooling, as it is commonly called in the USA) is where parents elect to educate their children themselves rather than delegating that responsibility to a school. It is a legal, and an equally valid, alternative to conventional schooling in the UK and in many other parts of the world.
How does coaching help with home education?
For some (a wonderfully enlightened minority!) the idea that education can take many forms and does not necessarily revolve around schooling is second nature. They might well choose home education or another alternative to conventional schooling for their children from birth and never look back. For the majority who consider this option, however, their interest is stimulated by theirs or their child’s unfavourable response to conventional schooling.
Coaching has many benefits for you as a parent if you find yourself in this situation and can support you in:
Deciding what form of education is appropriate for your child/children.
Discovering how to manage financially if you decide to quit your job in order to home educate.
Starting to work from home and home educate, if that’s what you want to do.
Raising and educating children with Special Educational Needs
Finding time for yourself.
Improving your relationships at home and at work.
Dealing with government authorities.
Improving the health and wellbeing of the whole family.
Coaching will support you by creating a time and the space for you to:
Think creatively about your change of circumstances.
Uncover the opportunities in your new way of life and make the most of them.
Direct your focus and energy towards those things that matter most to you in life.
Achieve balance, peace, harmony and fulfillment.
